Motor Control Centre & Distribution Panels

We build many different types of MCC and Distribution panels in our workshop facility.
All our work is built to comply with the current British & European Standards.

We work closely with other manufacturers to supply specialist panel equipment which has A.S.T.A. certification for busbar systems at 50KA for 1 and 3 seconds and 80KA for 1 second .

All panels are supplied with a detailed technical file and as built drawings.
Conforming with the machinery regulations for CE marking.

Motor Control Panels

ALL designed to comply with BS5496 Pt1: 1990
EN60439-1, IEC439-1 to Form 2 3 & Form 4.

Using standard and custom built cabinets for use on:
Direct on line, Star Delta and Soft Start.
Energy Efficient Inverter Speed and Torque Controls.
Hardwired sequence or PLC interfaced.
Intelligent starters can be supplied.

We can provide integrated PLC Controls Systems, built into the Motor Control Centre including hardwired control interface with the drive enclosures or via a Profibus or other intellegent interface modules.

Form 4 Type MCC / Distribution Panels

Contain an ASTA/KEMA certified Busbar system, and are segregated to Form 4 of BS EN 60439-1 and are sealed against personnel access for safety and can be either fixed pattern or withdrawable.

Busbar systems are rated and certified up to 690V AC as standard but are usually connected to a typical LV network of 400V 3 Phase nominal. Neutrals are normally fully rated. Specialised voltages may also be used on some plants or offshore platforms.

MCC panels will have one or more incoming supply sections which are typically rated from 250A upwards, and multiple starter or drive sections as required for the duty. Other sections to be incorporated may include Power Factor Correction (PFC), SCADA, ICA, Telemetry, PLC, Power Distribution, Transformers etc. all as required for the particular project.

Incomer sections are usually fitted with ACB’s, MCCB’s and fuseswitches, connected to the busbar system.
