Inspection & Testing

Inspection and Testing must be carried out periodically on all installations, the frequency of these tests is dependant on the environmental location of the installation. We can advise on the type and frequency of the Testing applicable to the customers installation.
We are certified to undertake the following tests.

Mines and Quarries Statutory Testing Our service provides the following documentation which is then available to our customer in both Microsoft Access or Excel File Formats. We can provide digital images of all faults found and recommendations for improvements.	All the results will be tabulated on our computer system and a detailed report on all test results will be given to the customer shortly after the tests are performed. The report will include: A detailed summary of tests. Prospective short circuit current and fault current readings at all distribution boards. Insulation resistance of all cables. (Except those feeding sensitive electronic equipment). Line resistance. Earth Resistance. Percentage conductivity of the cable between line and earth return. (Minimum 50% in Quarries). We will report on all items not complying directly with the Electricity at Work Regulation 1989, BS7671:2001. A list of remedial works will be categorized into levels for action.
Testing and Inspection PCS are regularly audited by the NICEIC inspecting engineer and at our last inspection we were accepted for transfer into the NICEIC UKAS EN 45011 accredited certification scheme as an NICEIC approved contractor.	The following tests can be undertaken. Installation Certificate Issued on all our new installations in accordance with BS7671: 2001. IEE. Wiring Regulations. Periodic Inspection Certificate Issued when an existing installation is tested in accordance with BS7671: 2001. IEE. Wiring Regulations. Minor Works Certificate Issued when an existing circuit is modified Fire Alarm Certificate. Issued in accordance with BS5839-1 1988 Emergency Lighting Issued in accordance with BS5266:Part 1: 1988
Commissioning Service Our Testing department can offer a full plant commissioning service on both computer control systems as well as all instrumentation and electrical systems.	Portable Appliance Testing We can offer a full service for testing. All results will be printed out on site. All equipment will be tagged with the recommended next test date.
